Regenerate Society, Inc. is excited to announce the newest addition to our leadership team—Katiana Banks, who will be serving as our Business Impact Developer (BID) for the upcoming season. The BID role serves as the divisional leader for our Business Division, guiding projects, partnerships, and strategies that empower young entrepreneurs to pursue innovation, sustainability, and purpose-driven business.

Katiana steps into this position with a wealth of experience and an impressive track record of community engagement, communications, and small business development.

A Birmingham transplant, Katiana chose to make the Magic City her home after graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While studying for her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, she earned the PRCA Student Award of Excellence and Medallion Award. Her time at UAB included roles as a marketing assistant at UAB URec and as a content producer intern at Bham Now, where she highlighted some of the best stories Birmingham has to offer.

Upon graduating, Katiana expanded her experience by managing communication efforts for the world’s largest motorsports museum, writing for the Modern Green Book blog, and currently serving as the small business manager of a local chamber of commerce, where she supports the growth and development of small businesses.

Her passion for Birmingham shines through her community involvement. She became a member of the Birmingham Vanguard and graduated from the City of Birmingham’s Academy of Civic Engagement, while also holding previous leadership roles such as Vice President of Public Relations for the Birmingham chapter of the American Marketing Association and Magic City Toastmasters.

Most recently, Katiana completed Auburn University’s Government and Economic Development Intensive and is currently working toward her Entrepreneurship Development Professional certification.

Katiana is passionate about community building and experience curation. She pulls inspiration from Minneapolis-based entrepreneur and author Houston White, whose book Culturemaking: Where Creative Entrepreneurship and Community Building Collide continues to fuel her vision for work that blends creativity, business, and impact.

What This Means for RS

Katiana’s leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of our Business Division, which is committed to helping young adults gain access to entrepreneurial education, mentorship, and opportunities to create businesses that make a difference. As our Business Impact Developer, she will be coordinating divisional projects, forging new partnerships, and empowering members to develop skills that will not only serve their careers but also strengthen their communities.

Her service with the Business division began in 2025, as a panelist during our Heritage Heroines marquee event. With this in mind, Katiana joins our team with a wealth of valued prior-RS experience.

We are beyond excited to see the creativity, expertise, and passion Katiana brings to Regenerate Society, Inc., and look forward to the growth of our Business Division under her leadership.

Welcome to the team, Katiana!
