A Starry Night Under the Greenhouse: The 2024 RS Talent Showcase

There’s no better way to launch a new season than with a celebration of pure, unfiltered creativity — and that’s exactly what we did.

To kick off Season 7, Regenerate Society, Inc. brought the city together for a night of talent, energy, and community at The Greenhouse in Ensley for our 2024 Talent Showcase. It was a night that embodied everything RS stands for — Revive. Restore. Regenerate.

A Night of Unforgettable Performances

The showcase featured some of the best young artists and creatives Birmingham has to offer, each bringing their gifts to the stage and leaving it all out there. The night included:

🎤 Powerful poetry by Candace Green and Shy Jenkins

🎶 Soulful performances by Wescam & Classified Alias, Amari Hickman, and Derrion

💃🏽 Masterful movement and dance from Sakka and Sunnie

🎙️ And hosted by the dynamic duo J Smilez and Ni’Ni’, who kept the energy high and the crowd engaged from start to finish

Every moment was electric — from the powerful lyrics that moved hearts, to the laughter and applause that filled the air. It was more than a showcase; it was a reminder of what happens when young artists are given the space and platform to shine.

Capturing the Moment

The entire night was beautifully documented by The Rose Hat Photography, who captured the energy and artistry in every frame. The night’s soundtrack — “Feelings Won’t Change” by Wescam & Classified Alias — provided the perfect backdrop for the highlight reel, which you can check out here.

Why It Matters

The Talent Showcase continues to serve as a cornerstone event for our Creative Arts Division, offering emerging performers, poets, and visual artists an opportunity to express themselves while connecting with Birmingham’s creative community. It’s not just a show — it’s a celebration of growth, collaboration, and the power of creativity to inspire change.

We extend our deepest thanks to our incredible partners at The Flourish Alabama for opening the doors to The Greenhouse and helping us bring this vision to life. Their continued support of young artists and creative collaboration made this night possible.

As we continue to grow into Season 7 and beyond, events like this remind us of why we started — to empower young people to discover their gifts, build confidence, and use their creativity to impact the world around them.
