We are so excited to announce that we are doing a scholarship/giveaway for Juneteenth this year! Our goal is to support the dreams of those who what to support others. We have two scholarships, one specifically for students and one specifically for visionaries. We feel that in addition to deserving students, there are also plenty of young people who are not in school and still have a purpose that needs support!
Accepting Applications: May 17th – June 13th, 2021 Winners will be contacted on June 16th, 2021
The Regenerate Society, Inc. will be choosing two deserving applicants who exhibit true desire to better their community through their talents. This scholarship/grant will be awarded at the 2021 Juneteenth Festival (we are partnering with the Modern Greenbook for this year’s festival). Details on applying below.
Amount: $1,000 each
Requirements:
One award will be given to a student entering college or currently in college (community college, private university or public university). These universities must be in the Jefferson County area. While the other award will be awarded to a “visionary”. Please note that students may not apply for the visionary scholarship and all applicants may only apply once. A visionary may be categorized as a future entrepreneur, a creative, a community event organizer, etc. All applicants must meet the requirements below:
Submit either an essay or video answering the prompts Note: video should be uploaded to Youtube and you should provide the link in the application
Ages 17-24
Be in the Jefferson Co. area
Must be present to receive the award at the Modern Green Book’s Juneteenth Festival on June 19th, 2021
