Regenerate Society is thrilled to announce a historic milestone for our leadership team. Raiya Goodman has officially been named our first-ever Director of Activism & Advocacy!

A native of Houston, Texas, Raiya made Birmingham her home after graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a degree in Musical Theatre and Global and Community Leadership. She first stepped onto the RS grounds as part of the 2024 Training Camp class. It didn't take long for her exceptional work ethic and passion for servant leadership to make waves across the roster. By her second season, she was named Captain of the Activism Division.

Now, as she pursues her Master’s of Public Administration as a returning graduate student at UAB, Raiya steps into an executive role designed to expand our reach and deepen our community footprint.

A TRACK RECORD OF EXCELLENCE

Raiya’s transition into leadership is the natural next step in a decorated career with Regenerate Society. Her time on the active roster has been marked by consistency, heart, and non-stop service:

  • Fast-Track Leadership: Named Activism Division Captain in only her second season with the organization.

  • Proven Impact: Earned back-to-back All-Service Team selections for her hands-on leadership.

  • Fan & Community Favorite: Awarded the prestigious Green Choice Award, voted on by the public to honor elite service in action.

THE VISION FOR THE ACTIVISM DIVISION

As Director of Activism & Advocacy, Raiya will lead the charge in expanding educational programming for youth ages 9–18. Her focus will center on teaching the next generation how to drive effective, tangible change in underserved communities through human rights advocacy, civic literacy, and organized community action.

"I am super excited to transition into this role! My passion has always been to help the community and to empower our youth, serving as the Director of Activism & Advocacy will allow me to do both," Goodman shared. "I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things that we’ll do as an organization and I’m looking forward to growing the Activism Division!"

BUILT BY THE CULTURE

For Raiya, step-level growth within RS isn't just about professional advancement—it’s about the brotherhood, sisterhood, and faith-driven culture that defines the organization.

"When I joined RS two years ago, you couldn’t have told me that I would land in the activism division—much less leading it," Goodman reflected. "These past two years have helped me to grow not only professionally but personally as well! Having people around you who see you the way that God does is truly a game changer. The people in RS have pushed me to be a better Raiya. They’ve picked me up when I was down and helped push me towards my goals. I’m so thankful that I joined and for the community that RS creates."

Please join us in congratulating Raiya Goodman on this well-deserved promotion as we prepare to take our Activism & Advocacy efforts to unprecedented heights in Season 10!
